- Breakfast. After the breakfast departure to Ohrid. Meeting with the local experienced guide. Ohrid is the very ancient town located at the shores of the Ohrid Lake. It is rich with monuments from different historic periods. Because of the historic treasury the town and the lake are on the list of UNESCO as the World Treasury. At the main square of Ohrid, next to the Port are the monuments of the holly brothers St. Cyril and Methodius, who designed the Glagolic Alphabet, and their disciples St. Klement and St. Naum. In the old town of Ohrid there are many typical and traditional houses and historic churches. One of the most important is the Cathedral St. Sophia from 11 c. The walls are painted with frescoes from that period. The tour continues to the Ancient Theatre from 3 or 2 C.B.C. Visit to the church St. Bogorodica Perivleptos from 13 c, and to the world famous Icon Gallery where the icons from 11 to 19 c. are exhibited. At the top of Ohrid Hill dominates the Samoilo Fortress. From the top of the towers the tourists enjoys the wonderful view of Ohrid town and Ohrid Lake. Visit to the Plaosnik, where St. Klement established the first Slavic University in the end of 9 and beginning of 10 c. At that site is the early Christian Basilica (4 – 6 c.) which floor is decorated with mosaic. The tour continues towards the church St. John Kaneo. This church is located at the rock just above the Ohrid Lake. Going back to the center of the town and ride a boat in The Ohrid Lake and visit the complex of the monastery St. Naum, which is located next to the border with Republic of Albania. In the area of the monastery are the biggest springs of the Ohrid Lake. As the part of the National Park Galicica they are untouched nature. The best way to enjoy the beauties is by riding small boat. From the boat are visible the bubbles created by the water, coming out of the ground, it is possible to listen the songs of the birds and to be amazed by the colours of the nature.
